Explanation
Niu Huang: Clearing heart-fire and soothing the liver, eliminating phlegm and extinguishing wind.
She Xiang, Bing Pian and An Xi Xiang: Inducing resuscitation and refreshing mind.
Xi Jiao and Xuan Shen: Clearing heat and cooling blood, removing toxicity and arresting convulsion.
Xiang Fu, Mu Xiang, Wu Yao, Qing Pi, Chen Xiang, Ding Xiang, Huo Xiang, Bai Dou Kou: Regulating qi and harmonizing the spleen and stomach, unobstructing the qi and blood.
Wei Ling Xian, Qiang Huo, Fang Feng, Liang Tou Jian, Bai Hua She and Wu Shao She: Dispelling wind and dredging meridians to alleviate pain.
Ru Xiang, Mo Yao, Xue Jie and Song Zhi: Activating blood to dissipate stasis, relaxing the tendons to alleviate pain.
Tian Ma, Jiang Can, Tian Nan Xing, Di Long and Quan Xie: Soothing the liver and pacifying yang, resolving phlegm and extinguishing wind.
Ren Shen, Bai Zhu, Fu Ling, Gan Cao, Dang Gui, Chi Shao and Shu Di: Tonifying qi and blood.
Tiger Bone, He Shou Wu, Gui Jia and Gu Sui Bu: Tonifying the liver and kidney, strengthening tendons and bones and relieving arthralgia.
Ma Huang, Xi Xin, Ge Gen, Rou Gui, Cao Wu and Fu Zi: Dispersing wind-evil and eliminating dampness.
Huang Lian, Huang Qin, Da Huang and Guan Zhong: Clearing heat and drying dampness, purging fire and removing toxicity.
Effect
Regulate qi and blood, dredge meridians to alleviate pain, expel wind and eliminate dampness, resolve phlegm and calm the liver-wind.
Indications
Traumatic injury, sores and boils, rheumatic arthritis, amenorrhea, infantile convulsion, apoplexy, paralysis, muscular constricture, coronary heart disease, angina, hysterical syncope.
Contraindication
It is contraindicated to pregnant women.
