Bitter, sweet, warm; liver and spleen meridians entered.

Actions

Expel wind and dry dampness, discharge pus and draw out toxin, promote tissue regernation and alleviate pain.

Indications

Sores and boils, rheumatic arthritis, scabies, malignant sore, sprain, incised wound, tinea tonsure, anal fistula, pruritus due to leprosy.

Dosage and administration

0.5~1 g for oral taking, or made into pills and powder or soaked in wine. Proper dosage is for external application. Pounded into powder for applying.

Cautions

It is contraindicated to people with endogenous heat and excess fire.
