Ingredients
- Shu Di 6~9 g
- Shan Yao 6 g
- Shan Zhu Yu 3 g
- Gou Qi 6 g
- Zhi Gan Cao 3~6 g
- Du Zhong 6 g
- Rou Gui 3~6 g
- Fu Zi 3~9 g
Explanation
Shu Di: The principal drug, nourish the kidney and supplement essence.
Shan Zhu Yu, Gou Qi Zi: Tonify the liver and kidney.
Shan Yao: Tonify the spleen and the kidney.
Zhi Gan Cao: Invigorate the spleen and stomach, temper the actions of all the other ingredients.
Du Zhong: Tonify liver and kidney.
Rou Gui: Reinforce fire and strengthen yang, dispel cold and stop pain, warm meridians and collaterals.
Fu Zi: Restore yang from collapse, reinforce fire and strengthen yang, dispel cold to alleviate pain.
Effect
Warm and tonify kidney-yang.
Indications
Kidney-yang deficiency, fatigue, cough with asthma, diarrhea, weak pulse, extreme chilliness, lumbago and gonyalgia, delivery woman with fever caused by deficiency-fire.
Administration
Decoct in water for oral dose to be taken on empty stomach.
