- Qing Dai 20 g,
- Huang Lian 5 g,
- Niu Bang Zi 50 g,
- Xuan Shen 60 g,
- Di Huang 50 g,
- Jie Geng 50 g,
- Mang Xiao 5 g,
- Chi Shao 50 g,
- Gan Cao 60 g.
Explanation
Huang Lian: Dispelling pathogenic fire from the heart and the middle-Jiao.
Xuan Shen, Jie Geng and Gan Cao: Clearing away noxious heat in the throat, head and face.
Niu Bang Zi and lian Qiao: Dispersing wind-heat pathogens in the upper –Jiao.
Chi Shao: Clearing heat and cooling blood, activating blood and resolving stasis, clearing liver fire.
Mang Xiao: Softening hardness with purgative, clearing heat and relieving swelling.
Qing Dai: Clearing heat and removing toxicity, cooling blood, and clearing liver-fire.
Shui Niu Jiao: Clearing heat and cooling blood, purging fire and removing toxicity, extinguishing wind and relieving convulsions.
Di Huang: Clearing heat and cooling blood, stopping bleeding, nourishing yin.

Clear heat and remove toxicity, cool blood and resolve swelling.
