Ingredients

Explanation

Tian Ma, Gou Teng and Shi Jue Ming: The principal drugs, calming the liver-wind.

Shan Zhi and Huang Qin: Removing heat and purging fire.

Yi Mu Cao: Promoting blood circulation and inducing diuresis.

Niu Xi: Inducing blood to go downward.

Sang Ji Sheng and Du Zhong: Invigorating the liver and kidney.

Ye Jiao Teng and Zhu Fu Shen: Relieving mental stress.

Effect

Calming the liver-wind, removing heat and promoting blood circulation, invigorating the liver and kidney.

Indications

Syndrome due to excess of the liver-Yang and up-stirring of the liver-wind, marked by headache, dizziness and insomnia; including such diseases with the above symptoms as tetanus, hypertension and cerebrovascular accident.

Administration

Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
