Ingredients
- Yin Hua 90g,
- Dang Gui 60 g,
- Di Yu 30 g,
- Mai Dong 30 g,
- Yuan Shen 30 g,
- Gan Cao 10 g,
- Yi Ren 15 g,
- Huang Qin 6 g.
Explanation
Jin Yin Hua and Huang Qin: Clearing heat and removing toxicity.
Dang Gui: Enriching blood and regulating Yang.
Di Yu: Cooling blood to stop bleeding, relieving toxicity and healing wound.
Mai Dong: Nourishing yin of stomach, lung and heart, clearing heat of stomach, lung and heart.
Yuan Shen: Clearing heat and cooling blood, removing toxicity and nourishing yin.
Yi Ren: Removing dampness, strengthening spleen and clearing heat.
Zhi Gan Cao: Invigorating the spleen and stomach, tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.
Effect
Activate blood and remove toxicity, tonify yin and purge fire.
Indications
Acute appendicitis.
Administration
Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
