Ingredients
- Xue Jie (Resina Draconis) 30g,
- She Xiang (Moschus) 0.4g,
- Bing Pian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 0.4g,
- Ru Xiang (Resina Olibani) 5g,
- Mo Yao (Myrrha) 5g,
- Hong Hua (Flos Carthami) 5g,
- Zhu Sha (Cinnabaris) 4g,
- Er Cha (Catechu) 7.5g.
Explanation
Xue Jie and Hong Hua: Promoting the circulation of blood to remove blood stasis.
Ru Xiang and Mo Yao: Eliminating blood stasis, activating the flow of Qi, subduing swelling and relieving pain.
She Xiang and Bing Pian: Promoting the flow of Qi and blood through the channels.
Zhu Sha: Calming the mind.
Er Cha: Removing heat and stopping bleeding.
Effect
Promoting the circulation of blood to disperse blood stasis, relieving pain and stopping bleeding.
Indications
Stasis of blood with swelling and pain due to fractures of tendons and bones, or bleeding due to incised wound; including burn, scald, herpes zoster, coronary heart diseases and myocarditis.
Administration
All the ingredients are ground into fine powder and taken with yellow rice wine or warm boiled water, 0.22-0.15 g each time, twice daily when externally applied on the affected part, proper amout of the powder is mixed with liquor.
