Ingredients

Explanation

Yu Zhu: Being the principal drug, tonifying yin and promoting the secretion of saliva or body fluid.

Bai Wei and Shi Gao: Clearing heat and cooling blood.

Du Huo, Chuan Xiong and Qing Mu Xiang: Relaxing the tendons and bones, regulating qi and promoting the circulation of blood.

Gan Cao: Clearing heat and removing toxicity, tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.

Effect

Tonify yin and clear heat, diffuse the lung qi and relieve exterior syndrome.

Indications

Affection of exogenous wind-heat with yin deficiency, fever with headache, asthma with sweat, somnolence with heavy body, dry throat, choking sensation in chest, whitish coating on the tongue, floating pulse.

Administration

Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
