Ingredients
- Hou Po 15~20 g,
- Lai Fu Zi 15~30 g,
- Zhi Qiao 15 g,
- Tao Ren 9 g,
- Chi Shao 15 g,
- Da Huang 9~15 g,
- Mang Xiao 9~15 g.
Explanation
Da Huang: The principal drug, being bitter in flavor and cold in nature, purging heat to relax the bowels, removing stagnancy in the stomach and intestines.
Mang Xiao: Being salty in flavor and cold in nature, purging heat, softening hard masses, moistening dryness.
lai Fu Zi and Zhi Qiao: Promoting the circulation of qi and relieving distension.
Tao Ren and Chi Shao: activating blood and resolving stasis.
Hou Po: Promoting the circulation of Qi to resolve masses, relieving fullness and distention.
Effect
Restore normal bowel movement, promote the circulation of qi and activate blood.
Indications
Simple intestinal obstruction.
Administration
Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
