Ingredients
- Ding Xiang (Flos Caryophylli) 6 g,
- Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens) 6 g,
- Shi Di (Calyx Kaki) 9 g,
- Ren Shen (Radix Ginseng) 3 g.
Explanation
Ding Xiang: Warming the stomach, dispelling pathogenic cold, checking the upward adverse flow of Qi, and arresting hiccup.
Shi Di: Checking the upward adverse flow of Qi, arresting hiccup.
Ren Shen: Invigorating Qi, strengthening the body resistance.
Sheng Jiang: Warming the stomach, checking the upward adverse flow of Qi.
Effect
Warming the stomach, invigorating Qi, checking the upward adverse flow of Qi, arresting hiccup.
Indications
Syndrome due to deficiency-cold of the stomach-Qi, marked by incessant hiccup, fullness in the chest, and slow pulse; including such diseases with the above symptoms as phrenospasm and nervous hiccup.
Administration
Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
