Ingredients
- Chai Hu 3 g,
- Jiang Ban Xia 9 g,
- Chuan Lian 2.4 g,
- Jie Geng 3 g,
- Huang Qin 4.5 g,
- Gua Lou Ren 15 g,
- Zhi Shi 4.5 g,
- Ginger Juice 4 drops
Explanation
Huang Lian: Clearing away heat and purging fire.
Ban Xia: Checking upward adverse flow of Qi, regulating the stomach, resolving phlegm.
Chai Hu: The principal drug, being bitter and pungent in flavor and slightly cold in nature, tending to distribute so as to disperse pathogenic factors from the superficies of the body.
Huang Qin: Being bitter in taste and cold in nature, being adept in removing pathogenic heat in Shaoyang channel.
Jie Geng: Ventilating the lung, dispelling phlegm, relieving sore throat.
Zhi Shi: Inducing downward flow of Qi to disperse stagnation of Qi, relieving fullness and distention.
Gua Lou Ren: Moistening the lung and resolving phlegm.
Indications
Acute bronchitis, Acute attack of chronic cholecystitis.
Administration
Decoct in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
