Ingredients
- Cang Er Zi 10 g,
- Xin Yi 10 g,
- Bai Zhi 10 g,
- Chuan Xiong 10 g,
- Huang Qin 10 g,
- Bo He 10 g,
- Chuan Bei Mu ( or Zhe Bei Mu) 10 g,
- Dan Dou Chi 10 g,
- Ju Hua 10 g,
- Gan Cao 10 g.
Explanation
Xin Yi: Dispersing wind-cold, relieving nasal obstruction.
Cang Er Zi: Dispersing wind-cold, relieving nasal obstruction and relieving pain.
Ju Hua: Dispersing wind-heat, subduing liver yang, and removing liver heat to improve vision, clearing lung heat.
Gan Cao: Tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.
Huang Qin: Clearing heat and removing toxicity.
Bo He: Being used in larger dose so as to refresh the mind and dispel wind and heat pathogens.
Chuan Xiong, Bai Zhi: Dispelling wind pathogen and relieving pain.
Dou Chi: Dispersing external pathogens.
Bei Mu: Clearing and resolving heat-phlegm, dissipating nodulation.
Effect
Expel wind and alleviate pain, relieve nasal obstruction.
Indications
Nasosinusitis, rhinitis.
Administration
Decoct in water with slow fire. Boiling for ten minutes is ok for oral dose to be taken.
