Ingredients

  • Yi Zhi (Fructus Alpiniae Oxyphyllae) 10 g,
  • Chuan Bi Xie (Rhizoma Dioscorea Hypoglaucae) 10 g,
  • Shi Chang Pu (Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii) 10 g,
  • Wu Yao (Radix Linderae) 10 g.

Explanation

Bi Xie: The principal drug, being bitter in flavor and cold in nature, inducing diuresis and removing dampness.

Yi Zhi: Warming up the kidney-Yang, astringing urination to arrest enuresis.

Wu Yao: Warming the kidney and urinary bladder, cutting down the frequency of urination.

Shi Chang Pu: Promoting diuresis to remove dampness and eliminate deficiency-cold of the urinary bladder.

Effect

Warming the kidney, inducing diuresis and removing dampness.

Indications

Syndrome due to deficiency-cold of the lower-Jiao and down-flowing dampness, marked by frequent urination with urine as white as rice-soup and as thick as a dilute paste; including such diseases with the above symptoms as chyluria, chronic prostatitis and chronic cystitis.

Administration

Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
