Tianzong

Tianzong(SI11,天宗) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian of Hand.

Meaning

Tian, the upper part; zong, respect. Tianzong means an important point on the upper part of the body.

Upper and middle 1/3 of the line between the lower border of the scapular spine and the inferior angle of the scapular.

Mainly for pains in the scapular area.

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-1 cun. For thin conditions, oblique puncture is reccomended.
