Shentang(BL44,神堂) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Taiyang Bladder Meridian of Foot.

Location

3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 5th thoracic vertebra(T5).

Indication

• ①Bronchitis, asthma, chest oppression, and other diseases of the lung and chest;
• ②pain and stiffness in the back.

Method

Puncture obliquely 0.3-0.5 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
