Qian Nian Jian (Obscured Homalomena Rhizome)

Bitter, pungent, warm, slightly toxic; stomach, liver and kidney meridians entered.

Expel wind-damp, strengthen tendons and bones, alleviate pain and resolve swelling.

Stomach, sores and boils, rheumatic arthritis, sores and weakness of waist and knees, muscular constriction and numbness in lower limbs.

Decoct 9~15 g, or soaked in wine. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into powder for applying.

It is contraindicated for yin-deficiency with excessive heat. Avoid eating raddish when using it.
