LU5
Chize (LU5, 尺泽) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Taiyin Lung Meridian of Hand. Chize is the He-Sea point of the Lungs.
Meaning
Chi, ruler or ulnar; ze, marsh. Chi refers to the ulnar aspect (from the wrist to the elbow ), The point is in the depression of the elbow fossa at the ulnar aspect. The Qi of the meridian is infused here, like water flowing into a marsh.
Location
Located in the transverse cubital crease, on the radial side of the tendon of musculus biceps branchii.
Indication
- (1) the main poiut for respiratory diseases, such as cough and asthma, often used for Hot or Excess Syndrome (acute infection)
- (2) to stop the bleeding of the upper part of the body, such as epistaxis, hemoptysis.
- (3) to treat pains of the arm.
- (4) to treat heat stroke by causing the point to bleeding.
Method
puncture perpendicularly 0.8-1.2 cum or peck to bleeding.
