Ququan

Ququan(LR8,曲泉) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Jueyin Liver Meridian of Foot. It is the He-sea and water point of the meridian.

Location

Superior to the medial end of the popliteal crease, in the depression anterior to the tendons of semitendinosus and semimembranosus, posterior to the medial condyle of the tibia, about 1 cun anterior to Yingu(KI10).

Indication

• ①Irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, leukorrhea, prolapse of the uterus, pruritus vulvae, after-pains;
• ②seminal emissions, impotence, hernia;
• ③dysuria;
• ④pain and swelling of the knee, atrophic debility of the lower limb.

Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
