Shouwuli

Shouwuli(LI13, 手五里) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Yangming Large Intestine Meridian of Hand.

Location

Lateral aspect of the upper arm, 3 cun above Quchi(LI11). On the line connecting Quchi(LI11) with Jianyu(LI15).

Vasculature

The radial collateral artery and vein.

Innervation

The posterior antebrachial cutaneous nerve;deeper,the radial nerve.

Indication

• ①Crampy pain in the elbow and arm;
• ②scrofula.

Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-1.0 inch. Avoid injuring the artery. Moxibustion is applicable.
