Weiyang

Weiyang(BL39,委阳) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Taiyang Bladder Meridian of Foot. It is the lower he-sea point of triple energizer.

Location

On the back of the knee, towards the lateral end of the popliteal fossa,in the depression medial to the biceps femoris tendon.

Indication

• ①Abdominal fullness, retention of urine;
• ②stiffness and pain in the lower back, cramping of the leg and foot.

Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-1.0 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
