Zi Jing Pi (Bark of Chinese Redbud)

Property

Bitter, neutral; spleen, stomach and liver meridians entered.

Actions

Activating blood, stimulate the flow of menstruation, resolve swelling and remove toxicity.

Indications

Dysentery, sores and boils, snake and insect bites, traumatic injury, amenorrhea, pharyngitis, rheumatic arthritis, pain caused by the stagnation of Qi and blood.

Dosage and administration

Decoct 6~15 g, or soaked in wine, or made into pills and powder.

Cautions

It is contraindicated to pregnant women. Proper dosage is for external application. Pounded into powder for applying.
