Ji Zi (Hen's Egg)

Sweet, neutral; lung, stomach and spleen meridians entered.

Nourish yin and moisten dryness, tonify blood and prevent abortion.

Hot eyes, sore throat, thrist after delivery, scalds, dysentery, cough caused by dryness, celostomia, threatened abortion, restlessness.

It can be eaten raw or taken after mixing with boiling water, or made into pills. Proper dosage is for external application.

It is contraindicated in case of phlegm and retained fluid and indigestion.
