Ingredients
- Jin Ling Zi (Fructus Meliae Toosendan) 30 g,
- Yan Hu Suo (Rhizoma Corydalis) 30 g.
Explanation
Jin Ling Zi: The principal drug, soothing the liver and regulating the circulation of Qi, purging the liver of pathogenic fire.
Yan Hu Suo: Promoting the flow of both Qi and blood.
Effect
Promoting the circulation of Qi to soothe the liver, activating the flow of blood to arrest pain.
Indications
Syndrome of intense heat due to stagnation or the liver_Qi, marked by intermittent pain in the chest, abdomen and hypochondriac region, bitter taste in the mouth, reddened tongue with yellowish coating, and taut rapid pulse; including such diseases with the above symptoms as gastroduodenal ulcer, chronic gastritis, and virus hepatitis.
Administration
The two ingredients are ground into fine powder. 9 g of the powder is taken each time, twice daily. Or the ingredients are decocted in water for oral dose with their amounts properly modified.
