跗阳

Fuyang

Fuyang(BL59,跗阳) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Taiyang Bladder Meridian of Foot. It is the Xi-cleft point of yang heel vessel.

Location

On the lower leg, 3 cun above Kunlun(BL60).

Indication

• ①Pain in the lumbosacral region, flaccidity and numbness of the lower extremities, pain and swelling in the lateral malleolus;
• ②headache.

Method

Puncture perpendicularly O.5-1.0 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
