Ingredients

Explanation

Ju Pi: Regulating the flow of Qi and the function of the stomach, checking upward adverse flow of Qi to arrest vomiting.

Huang Lian: Clearing heat and removing toxicity.

Ren Shen, Bai Zhu, Fu Ling and Gan Cao: Invigorating Qi to strengthen the spleen.

Huo Xiang: Dispersing wind-cold and removing dampness as well as sending up the lucid Qi and sending down the turbid to treat cholera morbus.

Ze Xie: Inducing diuresis and draining dampness, purging heat.

Qian Shi: Tonifying the kidney and securing essence; tonifying the spleen to check diarrhea, drying dampness and stop leukorrhagia.

Shan Zha and Mai Ya: Promoting digestion to remove stagnated food.

Lian Zi: Tonifying spleen to check diarrhea, tonifying kidney and secure essence, stopping leukorrhagia, nourishing heart and inducing tranquilization.

Bai Bian Dou: Tonifying the spleen and eliminating dampness.

Bai Dou Kou: Resolving dampness and promoting the flow of qi, warming the spleen and stomach, arresting vomiting.

Jie Geng: Ventilating the lung, dispelling phlegm, relieving sore throat.

Yi Yi Ren: Removing dampness and subduing swelling.

Shan Yao: Tonifying qi, nourishing yin, and tonifying the spleen, lung and kidney.

Effect

Strengthen the spleen, stimulate the appetite, promote digestion and arrest diarrhea.

Indications

Fatigue, diarrhea, abdominal distension, spleen and stomach deficiency.

Administration

All the drugs are ground into fine powder. The powder is made with honey into pills.
