Ermen

Ermen(TE21,耳门) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian of Hand.

Location

In a depression formed when the mouth is opened, anterior to and slightly superior to the condyloid process of the mandible.

Indication

• ①Deafness, tinnitus, otorrhea ;
• ②toothache, temporo-mandibular joint(TMJ) syndrome.

Method

Perpendicular insertion 0. 5～1 cun, with the mouth open.
