Actions

Tonify qi, raise yang, secure superficial to stop sweat, promote diuresis and resolve swelling, promote the secretion of saliva and tonify blood, dispel toxin and expel pus, astringe wound to promote skin generation, dissipate stagnation and relieve arthralgia.

Indications

Poor appetite with loose stool, qi deficiency with edema, hemiplegia, hematochezia, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, rectocele due to chronic diarrhea, unhealing ulcer, exterior deficiency with spontaneous sweating, sallow complexion due to blood deficiency, fatigue due to qi deficiency, sinking of spleen qi, numbness due to arthralgia, diabetes.

Dosage and administration

Decoct 9~30 g, stir-baked with honey for tonifying qi.
