Ingredients

Explanation

Qing Dai: Clearing heat and liver-fire.

Dang Gui: Tonifying blood and activating blood, alleviating pain and moistening intestines.

Long Dan: Clearing heat and drying dampness, purging fire and removing toxicity.

Huang Lian: Dispelling pathogenic fire from the heart and the middle-Jiao.

Huang Qin: Purging fire in the upper-Jiao.

Huang Bo: Removing fire in the lower-Jiao.

Zhi Zi: Clearing away fire in the tri-Jiao, leading fire to go downward.

Da Huang: Removing accumulation with purgative, clearing heat and purging fire.

Lu Hui: Relaxing bowels with purgative and clearing liver fire.

Mu Xiang: Promoting the circulation of qi.

She Xiang: Inducing resuscitation and activating blood.

Effect

Purge fire and relax the bowels.

Indications

Dizziness, restlessness, constipation, abdominal pain, tinnitus, deafness, rib pain, excessive fire in liver and gallbladder.

Administration

All the drugs except She Xiang are ground into fine powder. The powder is mixed with She Xiang and made into pills. 6 g of the pills is taken with warm boiled water each time, twice daily.

Contraindication

It is contraindicated to pregnant women.
