灵道

Lingdao

Lingdao(HT4, 灵道) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Shaoyin Heart Meridian of Hand. Lingdao is the Jing-River Point of the heart.

Meaning

Ling, mind; dao, pathway. The heart dominates the mind. The point is in the depression on the radial side of the tendon of m. Flexor carpal ulnaris; it is like a pathway leading toward the mind.

Location

1.5 cun above Shenmen, on the radial side of the tendon of m. flexor carpiulnaris.

Indication

Cardiac pain, hysteria, aphonia, pain of the ulnar nerves and wrist joint.

Method

Perpendicularly 0.3～0.5 cun.
