Sweet, astringent, cool; lung, heart, kidney and large intestine meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heart, moisten the lung, lower fire, promote the secretion of saliva, and remove toxicity of sores.

Indications

Hematemesis, diarrhea, sores and boils, scabies, charbuncle on the back, cough due to lung-dryness, polydypsia due to summer-heat.

Dosage and administration

Decoct 9~15 g, or 30~60 g of the fresh. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into juice for applying.
