幽門

Youmen

Youmen(KI21,幽门) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Shaoyin Kidney Meridian of Foot.

Location

6 cun above the umbilicus, 0.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Indication

Abdominal pain, abdominal distension, vomiting, diarrhea, and other stomach and intestine disorders.

Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.3-0.7 inch. To avoid injuring the liver,deep insertion is not advisable. Moxibustion is applicable.
