Ingredients

• Da Huang 10 g,
• Huang Lian 5 g,
• Huang Qin 5 g.

Explanation

Huang Qin: Purging the heat of upper-jiao.

Huang Lian: Purging the heat of middle-jiao.

Da Huang: Purging the heat of lower-jiao.

Effect

Purge fire and remove toxicity, dry dampness and purge heat.

Indications

Nose bleeding, constipation, jaundice due to damp-heat, hematemesis, swelling and pain of eyes, choking sensation in chest, yellow and greasy coating on the tongue, sores and boils, aphtha, heat accumulation in three jiao, forceful and rapid pulse.

Administration

Decoct in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
