Property

Pungent, warm; spleen, stomach, lung and large intestine meridians entered.

Actions

Resolve swelling, arrest diarrhea, remove toxicity and kill parasites.

Indications

Scabies, swelling and boils, dysentery, diarrhea, ancylostomiasis, enterobiasis, tuberculosis.

Dosage and administration

5~10 g, eaten raw or made into syrup. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying or cut into slices for wiping or moxibustion separated by garlic slice.

Cations

It is contraindicated for oral taking in case of yin deficiency with effulgent fire and people with eye disease or tooth disease or tongue disease or throat disease.
