Explanation
Chai Hu: Release exterior, soothe the liver and release liver depression, ascend yang qi.
Dang Gui: Tonify blood and activate blood, alleviate pain
Chen Pi: Promote the circulation of qi, strengthen the stomach.
Bai Shao: Tonify blood, astringe yin to check sweating, emolliate liver to alleviate pain, calm and suppress liver yang.
Gui Zhi: Release exterior, warm and unblock the meridians, warm and reinforce the yang qi.
Ban Xia: Dry dampness and resolve phlegm, check adverse rise of qi.
Qiang Huo: Release exterior and disperse cold, expel wind-damp and alleviate pain.
Qin Jiao: Dispel wind-damp, unblock collaterals to alleviate pain.
Fu Pian: Reinforce fire and strengthen yang, dispel cold to alleviate pain.
Bai Jie Zi: Warm the lung and dispel phlegm, promote qi flow and dissipate nodulation, resolve swelling and alleviate pain.
Fu Ling: Induce diuresis and drain dampness, invigorate spleen.
Effect
Soothe the liver, harmonize the spleen, dispel wind-cold.
Indications
Shoulder pain caused by wind-cold.
Administration
All the drugs are decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice after meal.
