Explanation
Xia Ku Cao: Clearing and purging liver fire, removing toxicity and dissipating nodulation.
Lian Qiao and Bo He: Dispersing wind-heat pathogens in the upper-Jiao.
Xuan Shen, Jie Geng and Gan Cao: Clearing away noxious heat in the throat, head and face.
Da Qing Yan: Clearing heat and cooling blood, improving eyesight and moistening dryness.
Zhe Bei Mu: Clearing and resolving heat-phlegm, dissipating nodulation and curing abscess.
Ge Ke and Hai Zao: Dissolving phlegm and softening hardness.
Da Huang: Removing accumulated heat from the intestines, clearing away heat and toxic material.
Tian Hua Fen: Clearing heat and purging fire, generating body fluids and relieving thirst, moistening dryness and resolving phlegm.
Sheng Di and Dang Gui: Nourishing Yin and blood.
Xuan Ming Fen: Purging heat, moistening dryness, softening hardness.
Bai Lian: Clearing heat and removing toxicity; curing abscess and dissipating nodulation.
Zhi Qiao: Promoting the flow of qi, soothing chest and middle energizer, relieving distention.

Indications
Scrofula, subcutaneous nodule, thyroid tumour.
Contraindication
It is contraindicated to pregnant women and loose stool.
