Ingredients

Explanation

Hou Po: Promoting the circulation of Qi, resolving dampness, relieving distention and fullness in the abdomen.

Ban Xia: Dispersing accumulation of pathogens, letting the adverse flow of the stomach-Qi go downwards to arrest vomiting.

Zhi Gan Cao: Regulating the stomach and tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.

Sheng Jiang and Da Zao: Regulating the function of the spleen and stomach.

Ren Shen: Tonifying qi.

Xiang Ru: Relieving exterior syndrome and dispelling cold, removing summer-heat and resolving dampness.

Bai Bian Dou: Strengthening the spleen, harmonizing the spleen and stomach, eliminating dampness and relieving summer-heat.

Mu Gua: Dispelling wind-damp, soothing tendons and activating collaterals, resolving dampness for harmonizing the stomach.

Huo Xiang: Dispersing wind-cold and removing dampness.

Xing Ren: Relieving cough and dyspnea, moistening intestines for relaxing bowels.

Sha Ren: Resolving dampness and promoting the flow of qi, warming middle energizer and arresting vomiting, checking diarrhea.

Fu Ling: Inducing diuresis and draining dampness, invigorating the spleen and inducing tranquilization.

Malnutrition.

Administration

All the drugs are ground into fine powder. 12 g of the powder with 1 date and Sheng Jiang 10 g is decocted in water for oral dose to be taken at any time.
